Asbestos Floor Tile Removal

Asbestos was used as an ingredient in some floor tile and is found in many buildings, both residential and commercial. It can sometimes be found underneath other layers of flooring, and multiple layers of asbestos floor tile could be present. The mastic adhesive used sometimes contains asbestos as well, and can be removed chemically. In most cases it is only necessary to remove the tile.

Identification
When floor tile is 9"x9" it is very likely to contain asbestos. Asbestos can also be found in 12"x12" tile. It was manufactured in a wide variety of colors and can be 1/16" to 1/8" in thickness. Laboratory testing of a sample can determine the presence of asbestos. Some older homes may have a spare box of replacement tiles labelled as vinyl asbestos.

Our trained and certified staff can remove the asbestos floor tile from your property with safety and efficiency. We take steps to prevent cross-contamination into other parts of the building. The surface left behind will be cleaned and the asbestos will be disposed of properly.
